4 out of 5 stars Very good deal !   August 30, 2008
The TomTom One is a very useful tool. Wife and I got lots of use on our recent road trip. We navigated from one point of the city to the next, and having point of interests in the area helped us quite a bit. The only down side I see is that you have to figure out which is best...shortest or quickest route. But with a little practice , this unit is very easy to use.

4 out of 5 stars I love my TomTom!   August 30, 2008
The TomTom One is my starter GPS and it has served me well for what I need it for. The screen isn't the biggest but the 3rd edition's battery lasts longer than the 1st. I got lucky with the $100 rebate price so it was definitely worth it.

5 out of 5 stars Great tool   August 29, 2008
This is my first GPS and so far it has not disappointed me and I hope not because am begining to completely depend on it. Its quick to recalculate the route whenever I miss a turn so I dont worry about missing turns that much. Be that as it may, I will keep updating this page if something pops up.

5 out of 5 stars Simply The BEST   August 28, 2008
I previously had the TomTom Navigator 5 then Navigator 6 which I used with my Palm Treo phone and I loved them. Then I got a new job which required a GPS several times a day. That's when I realized how slow my old system was. It was great for one long trip, but took way too long for many short trips a day. So I started researching through Google and reading customer reviews on Amazon.com. Since I was only familiar with TomTom and happy with their products, most of my research was done on their products. I started reading up on the top of the line model which was like $900 which I could no way afford. Then I kept reading, moving down one model at a time. After checking them all out, I came to the conclusion that the quality of the product line was the same from the most expensive to the least. The 2 major differences were the options (which I didn't need) and the screen size (the smallest was considerably larger than what I had been using. So for the first time that I can remember, I bought the absolute entry level product and I couldn't possibly be happier. I've been using it daily for about a month and totally LOVE IT!!! In nearly 2,000 miles of daily driving to about 4 to 6 different addresses around a good sized metropolitan area and its outskirts, it has been not only quick and easy to use, but deadly accurate. I would whole heartedly recommend the TomTom One 3rd Edition to anyone looking for a no-frills navigation system!

5 out of 5 stars Don't know how I lived without it!!   August 28, 2008

I ordered two of the TomTom's in January - one for myself and one as a gift. It was great to be able to find out where I was supposed to turn without having to look at a map. The routes that this system gives are great. A month ago I purchased a new Chrysler that had a built in navigation system...I tried using both of them at the same time and TomTom won hands down so even though I have the built in model I only use TomTom!!!! By the way, I just ordered yet another TomTom as a gift for a friend who always gets lost and never wants to stop for directions...he loves it too!!!
