Product Description
To set up the game, snap one treasure into the bottom of each tree and place the trees where indicated on the game board. Choose your playing piece and place in near the village on the game board, which serves as the starting area. The king's castle reveals the treasures you must search for throughout the forest. Roll the die to determine the distance you move, making your ways to the trees to see what treasures are hidden under them. When you reach a tree, you can look under it, making sure the other players don't see what you've found. Once you've found the treasure the king has requested, make your way to the castle so that you can announce where it is. If you're right, you continue on your journey for the next treasure. If you're wrong, you must go all the way back to the village and start over. The first player to correctly announce the location of three treasures wins.

5 out of 5 stars Very, very pleased   March 28, 2008
I bought this game for my daughter several weeks ago, and we love it! I've never purchased anything from Ravensburger, I was very surprised at the quality of the game. This game is so much fun! I would definitely recommend it to others.

5 out of 5 stars Enchantingly beautiful game   January 10, 2008

This is a beautiful, well thought out, strategic game. Ravensburger is such a great German (I believe) company for beautiful, durable, mentally stimulating games. I used to buy my own daughter (now 25) their toys at the Early Learning Center (since gone out of business) years ago and was thrilled to find them through Amazon to purchase gifts for my niece and nephew. I cannot explain what a great time my niece and I had playing the Enchanted Forest (over and over). As you read the instructions you realize the Ravensburger people thought about every little detail that could have made game play tedious or lengthy and you realize that they truly thought of everything to make it enjoyable. My niece is 8 yrs old and a bright student and we thoroughly enjoyed playing this 3 times in a row. Average game play is about 1/2 an hour (maybe it would be longer with more players). Retention and strategy are important, but it is still simple enough that they will not become annoyed. The little trees that are placed around the board (with the secret treasures hidden underneath) are absolutely precious and well made, as is the board itself (beautiful artwork)and the playing cards (no flimsy thin cards that will rip in a few weeks) but nice thick sturdy cards. If you think this game is pricey, wait till you and your child receive it, how pleased you will be and once you play, you'll realize what a bargain it is. This is one to be passed down to the next child in the family. It was very nice to read the child psychologist's review and know it is used in therapy.

5 out of 5 stars Game with Strategy which uses Memory   January 2, 2008
After reading the reviews here, I decided to get this for my 10 year old daughter. She LOVES it! We had so much fun playing over and over tonight and building our own strategies to win.

My memory isn't as fresh as it used to be, and I found this game useful in pushing my short-term memory skills. Not too complicated, but different than any other game we've played.

This game was purchased as a gift for my niece since she loved playing it with her tutor. I'm rating it highly due to the fact that, when asked for gift ideas, my sister ranked this game high on her list of ideas. When I received it, it sounded and looked so intriguing that I was very pleased.

5 out of 5 stars Great Game Board   May 13, 2007

This is one of the best game boards that I've ever bought for my son and I bought a lot of them. He wasn't as thrilled as with this game. He just loves searching for the treasure on the enchanted forest and try to outsmart me and others. We could literally play with him for hours. By the way, my son is only [...]. I would recommend this toy to all the parents who is looking for a great game board for your kids.

Thanks a lot to the company who invented this idea!
