Probably one of the most enchanting DVDs created, this feature gives a great concert and combines it with some great band footage and some kickass extra songs. We begin with the concert itself- it may be a pasted version of 3 concerts, but it is only vaguely noticable and doesnt affect the songs in any way. The chilis dance and prance about the stage whilst belting out such excellent songs as around the world and give it away, and combine this with classics inluding under the bridge, and a hilariously choreographed 'me and my friends'- the last song in the set, where kiedis almost collapses from laughing. We also see solos from flea (a heartwarming 'pea') and frusciante (usually just a t-shirt #3, merging fantastically into scar tissue) altogether a confident radiant performance from the rockers. The extra footage on the DVD gives about 10 mins of pre-show footage, and also 10 mins of interviews with the band, including some great advice on life from kiedis, and a vague description of john frusciante in a 'parallel universe' mad. There are also five extra songs, including an excellent 11 minute 'search and destroy'
An excellent DVD- miss it, miss out

5 out of 5 stars Well i guess this confirms it..the chilis ARE the greatest!!   April 21, 2003

And I'm serious. I mean, i had every one of their albums, but until i bought this album i'd NEVER seen them live, other than MTV or Top of the Pops. Man, this show is just mindblowing, who cares if it's made up of 3 different performances, the majority of it is all linked. And the guy who said it hadn't been mixed well obviously doesn't know what he's talking about, ignore him. I've had this for no more than 3 days and alreay i've seen it seven times! And I'm not stupid either, it's not like it's the only music i listen to, i have strong hold on most styles of music including jazz and classical music, quite dissimilar to the chilis. But in all the music i've heard i've never seen such a brilliant collection of musicians in one band, the Chilis!! I'm serious.. BUY IT

This is one awesome DVD! Cram packed full of their greatest hits, past and kind of present (up to Californication) witnessing this DVD will make you see that the Chili Peppers are with out doubt one of the most talented and skillful bands in the world. You'll drool at the Fusciante's and Flea's solos and Chad's excellent drum pieces (watch out for his solo, its bad and I don't mean bad as in not good!). Keidis' has a beautiful voice live, and to say his dancing is good is a understatement. The energy and dedication (see the interview and backstage) they put into this performance is amazing, with flea and Fusciante funking about all over the stage to hits like "Give it Away". Not to be missed for "Under the Bridge" (timeless classic), and the hiliarious goings on in the last song "Me and My Friends"- watch what Chad gets on him, and how Anthony reacts!

My only problem with this DVD is that it is fairly obvious that the clips have been put together from different performances (look at Chad's clothes and Anthony's hair), but this is hardly noticable.

The Chili Peppers totally changed my taste in music, opened me up to new horizons, and this DVD confirms that they are one of the greatest bands not only in todays world, but also of all time.

5 out of 5 stars The Chilis At Their Best!   January 26, 2003

This DVD has an excellent range of songs that span their career. (It would have been nice to see a performance from their debut, and more from Mother's Milk). Definetly worth the money for the performances of Pea, Usually Just a T Shirt and Subterranean Homesick Blues and all the other great songs. The chilis perform with a sense of humour and great musical talent
