What a disappointment! May 25, 2008 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
For a "Times" publication, they should be ashamed of themselves! This is poorly laid out, and not good enough on the detail.
Firstly, the maps themselves are set out in alphabetical order: Australia comes first, then...New Zealand!!! then Antarctica, then...Eastern Russian federation!!
Europe (which, to be honest, is likely to be the most-often referred to area from the UK) is half-way through the book. But then, Belgium, Netherlands AND northern Germany are all squeezed onto a double-page spread. France, huge country that it is, is crammed into a single page. The result is that there is not nearly enough detail for even minor research.
This book will please neither a UK-centric vew of the globe, nor yet an American (north or south) one
Save your money and invest in a better world atlas!
